Civil War Alive!

The Braun family brings Civil War history to life with civilian and military presentations and demonstrations. The Civil War is not just another historical event to be studied in terms of memorized battles and casualty statistics. Rather, it is a human event of unprecedented scale in our nation’s history. Its story is best told through the lives of the people who endured the hardships at home and on the battlefield. Our first person presentations are custom-tailored to the age and interests of each audience and include live demonstrations and audience participation. Steve's specialty is a military drill for youths (ages 10+) utilizing wooden muskets to learn and experience infantry tactics and maneuvers (see pictures of the action).

Join us for the fun -- leave with a new appreciation for the sacrifices of your ancestors.
